Passionate about helping each of our valued patients look after and make the most of their smile in an affordable, professional and convenient way, at Acton Vale Dental Centre we are proud to provide a choice of accessible NHS dentistry and high quality private dental care.
The charge you pay depends on the treatment you need to keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy. You will only ever be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment, even if you need to visit your dentist more than once to finish it: Band 1, Band 2 or Band 3.
Band 1 Course of Treatment: ยฃ27.40 (This covers an examination, diagnosis e.g. X-rays, advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale to remove tartar/ plaque and the application of fluoride varnish)
Band 2 Course of Treatment: ยฃ75.30 (This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work, advanced gum care and if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth)
Urgent Dental Treatment: ยฃ27.40 (This can include assessment and advice, X-rays, dressing of a tooth, refixing crowns etc.)
Please note that we will take the Band 1 NHS appointment fee on booking of the NHS appointment.ย
For any planned treatment we will take the full band 2/band 3 fee on booking of the treatment appointment.
There is currently a nationwide shortage of NHS dentists and our aim is to try to make space available for as many people in the local area to be able to access this service.
Routine Adult NHS examination appointments will only be guaranteed for patients who already have appointments booked into our diary.
Having all appointments pre-booked helps us accurately assess our availability and NHS capacity, allowing us to better serve those in need and fulfil our NHS contract commitments.
It is also our practice policy that if we do not see you for ย an NHS appointment for 18 monthsย or more, ย you will be classed as a lapsed NHS patient and will be placed on a waiting list for another NHS appointment.
If you fail to attend an NHS appointment without notifying the practice beforehand, this will lead to you being placed on a waiting list for another appointment.
Presently our waiting list is exceeding 18-24 months.
If you fail to attend two NHS appointments within an 18 month period, you may not be offered another NHS appointment with us.
Please note: we reserve the right to do this without notice or notification
